FUCKING KILL ME

Inspired by one of my favourite pieces of the Muzan-e period (“Naosuke Gombei ripping off a face” by Ikkaisai Yoshitoshi hitsu), “FUCKING KILL ME” is a self portrait dripping with my own self hatred, frustration and obsession with self destruction.

The image is the original size of the painting (970mmx660mm) and was done so to ensure full impact. The paper itself is 255gsm Somerset Velvet which is an archival grade paper specifically used for fine art prints and was professionally colour matched so the image you see, even down to the ‘furring’ on the canvas is detected and accurate.

This has taken weeks of fine tuning to ensure that not only is the image as close to the original as physically possible, but that this particular type of print will last for decades.
